Tam Giang Lagoon is where the Perfume River, Hue

In fact, the strange color of Tam Giang has made Hue tourism a different color. It has a high biological diversity, abundance of aquatic resources and fauna both on land and under water. A large number of fish caught in the Tam Giang Lagoon will be sold in local markets or sold to traders , or used for the raw material making sauce for local villages. In addition, Tam Giang Lagoon is also a giant climate balance, which prevents to flood for Hue city. So those who do travel in Hue compare the tourist potential of Tam Giang – Cau Hai as the unopened “gold stock”.

On the journey to explore the this Lagoon, it’s interesting when visitors come across the diner which is in the across boat and enjoy the specialties of fish, cuttle, shrimp, crab,… Especially the crab is just small as three fingers but sweet and delicious. You just take few thousands dong to have the fresh scallops.

Enjoy seafood and fresh atmosphere on the leaf hut built on the waterfront is so great. People in there are used to catching fish everyday in the windy afternoons in Tam Giang lagoon… in particular, we can join the fishermen here to catch fish to collect fishery in the early morning time for the morning market.

However , the mining program held to develop Tam Giang Lagoon to be a famous destination in the future still needs a plan with the strategic vision of management  to make sure that we can both develop tourism and not break the biological structure as well as ensure the life of fishermen. Hope that in the shortest time Tam Giang Lagoon will be mentioned as an attractive destination for guests traveling to Hue.
